Questions
I realize that there are people who sit on their butts and eat chips and ice cream and want to take a magic pill and make all the fat go away. But there are people who exercise and try to eat right and it JUST DOESN’T COME OFF!
I am one of those people!
I try to eat right. I’m not perfect but I should not be as overweight as I am. I would have to practically eat nothing to lose any weight. If I am perfect, I just stay the same weight. I did that and had a 3 year plateau! Not 3 months. THREE YEARS!!
I exercise regularly. Not a casual walk. A 45 to 60 minute bike ride at a 150 heart rate. Or a 60 minute Zumba or aerobic class. And yes I do know about strength training. Been there done that too! NOTHING WORKS!
Sure some of you can cut out soda or take a leisurely walk and lose weight. Consider yourself lucky. But some of us can’t.
Maybe it’s genetics, maybe it’s hormones. Who knows? But before you lecture about diet and exercise you should get the facts. It’s truly annoying!
Answer
I know what you are saying. It is definitely harder for some people than others, I know from personal, life long experience. Also about the person who said you only plateau from GAINING and not losing… that is not true. You can most definitely plateau it just means your body needs time to adjust to what you are doing.
Ok, I will admit that I am one of those people who say eat healthy and exercise and don’t take pills. However, I am mainly talking about OTC “fad” diet pills. If you can get a legitimate RX from your doctor and be supervised while taking it, go for it. Some people need that extra help. Just PLEASE be careful when taking them. They can have serious side effects. My hubby took a diet pill a couple months ago prescribed by his doctor. Some people it worked wonders on but on him it made him have crazy mood swings. He normally isn’t an emotional person but when he took those he was all over the place and on the verge of depression. So please just be careful and definitely be supervised by a doctor.
