many of you asked if i was eating sweets and drinking sodas. I have not had a soda in over 2 years and I avoid all sweets, counting calories is a huge part of my diet. I know i can still lose more weight, it’s pretty obvious, which is why i haven’t even considered wearing a bathing suit yet this summer. I also just bought a book by Jillian Michaels, called Making the Cut and it talks about problems with dieting and gives exercises that I can do so I’m starting that first thing in the morning along with my exercises now.

started about 6 weeks ago at 178 and I now weigh in at 161.5, so I lost 16.5 pounds in 6 weeks. I talked to a nutritionists at GNC and he told me to start taking a multivitamin, which I did. My friend also told me that if I don’t see results in a few weeks I should try using NV because she used it last summer to help control her appetite and give her energy. Has anyone tried it?

The first thinhg to remember is muscle weighs more than fat. I would suggest having a BMI (Body Mass Index) or BFI (Body Fat Index) done. I think you’ll find that you’re probably still losing fat but toning up your muscles.

Also, eating balanced is good, however, try to load up on carbs for breakfast and lunch to give you energy for your workouts and STAY AWAY FROM THEM AT DINNER! When you sleep, your body isn’t using much energy so the carbs turn to fat.

You’re drinking a TON of water, which is good because you’re going pretty hard, but don’t forget about water weight. That can easily add a few lbs.

Last thing, it sounds like you have “hit the wall”. When you start working out, your body is out of shape so you get stronger, faster, thinner, etc. pretty fast. But as your body adjusts, the benefits aren’t as pronounced. I just started lifting again about a few months ago. I doubled my bench weight in 3 weeks because I was BAD outta shape. Now I’m lucky to go up 5 lbs a week. You just have to push a little harder and take every inch you can get.
